Welcome

To Inspire Others - as a child,  I took to the path of writing poems, little stories, songs and drawings; to be given away to my peers, however, an exchange of coins occurred not expected. Pennies and nickels were given to me in which I deposited into my piggy bank. Out of this endeavor was borne the need to keep giving. From an age-old alphabet of twenty-six letters, emerged a five-year-old's hunger for inspiration. I was in pursuit of that wonderful world of words, first written by me in crayon, then pencil, later with pen, a typewriter, and now - the click of my keyboard. 

Is the  Legacy - now rewind to the sixteen hundreds, then walk with me through the annals of history to the present day; both paternal and maternal family lines were writers of poems, stories and, singer-songwriters. While a baby on the hip, settled in America sixty years after the Mayflower landed at "Plymouth Rock." Three "Work" brothers (mother's maiden name); sailed upon their own ships hiding their money coffers in the fake bottoms of wooden kegs to protect their savings from marauding pirates. With leadership capabilities (to name a few), one ancestor was the scribe to William Penn, the leader who founded Pennsylvania; while years later, another, Dr. Hubert Work, was President Harding's key Physician in attendance; soon to become "Secretary of the Interior".   Dr Hubert Work also wrote a  narrative called, "IF YOUTH BUT KNEW" which hung in the hall of that government building. I shall include this writing on my website in the coming months. These legacies, honor my respect and desire; to follow that writing course. This need to write has been an "Olympic moment" in my life; in the laying of these tracks; to pick up that torch and carry on ' the pen' to wherever my words may take me - to give back for what I have received! 

Of My work - consisting of the writing types mentioned above but not limited to; is my book (MARBLES AND LACE) which is inspirational and humorous, still brings me laughter when reading, for laughter works well like a medicine. This book is on all book platforms; a written sample is here on this website.  Soon, a second book will appear which is a total inspiration for those who need to heal from hurts and fears. Another work includes a ninety minute play I've written; in which I directed and produced on-stage at four various venues. When plays are written there must be all time-lines and scenes accounted for, cast to be chosen and choreography included. 

 I designed a product series and an essential oil display for a company and named one of their oil blends. The collection was introduced to elite retail stores throughout the nation.  I established an essential oil database reflecting health. To me research is critical; whether it be Biblical, medical, or toxins - exposing those '"bad-boys" in the body. Whatever it is that is required of me to do, I'll do the study. 

This here writing is not complete without mention of my father's love of landscaping. One of his clients was the late author, Philip Whylie. From his love of flowers, came my desire to arrange them.  As a teen, I bought my product with babysitting money, built them, then distributed bouquets as free gifts to the seniors of our small town at Christmas time. I loved it. One would see my sister and I, with her red wagon filled to capacity with centerpieces walking about the community giving away; and selling to those who were interested.
